SAP S/4HANA FICO Functional Consultant

Position: Senior SAP S/4HANA FICO Functional Consultant / Configuration Lead

We are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA FICO Functional Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO configuration and S/4HANA implementations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across Financial Accounting and Controlling modules and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, configure business processes, and work closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on configuration of SAP S/4HANA FI/CO modules.
• Configure and support FI-GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, CO-PC, CO-CCA, CO-ML, and CO-PA.
• Configure company codes, currencies, exchange rates, ledgers, and sub-ledgers.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Configure and maintain substitutions and validations.
• Work with FCV/FCTA programs and related financial processes.
• Analyze complex SAP issues, troubleshoot problems, and identify root causes.
• Read and debug ABAP code to troubleshoot functional issues; technical development is not the primary responsibility.
• Support integration between FICO and other S/4HANA modules including MM/Purchasing, SD/Sales, and PP/Production.
• Participate in end-to-end S/4HANA implementations, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop and maintain functional specifications, configuration documentation, and test strategies.
• Collaborate with business users, product owners, architects, developers, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support Agile/product-driven development and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• Master's or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of SAP FI/CO configuration experience, with significant SAP S/4HANA experience.
• Strong hands-on configuration experience with:
  • FI-GL – General Ledger
  • FI-AP – Accounts Payable
  • FI-AR – Accounts Receivable
  • FI-AA – Asset Accounting
  • CO-PC – Product Costing
  • CO-CCA – Cost Center Accounting
  • CO-ML – Material Ledger
  • CO-PA – Profitability Analysis
• Experience in multi-company-code and multi-currency environments.
• Strong understanding of ledgers, sub-ledgers, company codes, currencies, and exchange rates.
• Ability to read and debug ABAP code for functional troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating FICO with Purchasing/MM, Sales/SD, and Production/PP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Experience in a product-driven Agile organization.
• Familiarity with SAP development/integration technologies including ABAP, integration, and UI tools.
• Experience with SAP testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.

Work Arrangement

• Onsite 4 days per week
• Local candidates preferred
