GovCIO LLC seeks an SME to drive federal IT modernization initiatives. You'll advise on agile software delivery, cloud, cybersecurity, and data solutions that improve mission outcomes. In this role, you'll translate complex agency needs into secure, scalable architectures and user-focused products, partnering with cross-functional teams in a mission-driven, collaborative environment. You'll guide stakeholders through digital transformation, create standards and best practices, and mentor teammates while working with modern technologies that support high-impact government programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on federal IT modernization, advising stakeholders on best practices in cloud, cybersecurity, and agile delivery.
- Translate complex mission and technical requirements into clear, actionable user stories and solution designs.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and security teams to shape roadmaps and validate technical approaches.
- Develop and maintain standards, playbooks, and documentation for digital transformation initiatives.
- Support capture, proposals, and client presentations with domain expertise and thought leadership.
- Analyze legacy systems, data flows, and pain points to recommend modernization strategies.
- Ensure solutions comply with federal policies, security controls, and industry standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to project teams and government stakeholders.
- Define and track KPIs to measure mission impact, system performance, and user experience.
- Stay current on emerging federal IT trends, tools, and regulations and apply them to ongoing projects.
