Job Description
Micro Center is seeking a Network and Infrastructure Manager to design, implement, and support our retail and corporate network and systems. You will own LAN/WAN, Wi Fi, firewalls, VPNs, and server infrastructure across stores, warehouses, and headquarters, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Responsibilities include capacity planning, monitoring, troubleshooting outages, managing vendors, and leading small technical projects. You will collaborate with store and IT teams, document standards, enforce security best practices, and mentor technicians in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain corporate and store LAN/WAN and Wi Fi networks
- Administer firewalls, VPNs, and network security policies to protect systems and data
- Manage server and infrastructure capacity, availability, and performance
- Monitor networks and respond to incidents, outages, and performance issues
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuits, hardware, and support
- Document network diagrams, configurations, standards, and procedures
- Implement and enforce security and compliance best practices
- Lead and support infrastructure upgrade and rollout projects across locations
- Collaborate with store, warehouse, and headquarters teams on infrastructure needs
- Mentor and provide escalation support to technicians and junior IT staff
