Job Description
Ryder System seeks a Senior Manager, Application Development & Support to lead IT solutions that power transportation and warehousing operations. In this role, you will manage a team delivering enterprise applications that support supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management. Responsibilities include overseeing full SDLC, production support, system integrations, and vendor coordination while ensuring reliability, security, and performance. You'll partner with operations leaders to translate logistics requirements into scalable solutions and drive continuous improvement across Ryder's technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead application development and support teams for transportation and warehousing systems
- Oversee full software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment and support
- Ensure application reliability, performance, and security for mission-critical logistics platforms
- Manage incident, problem, and change management for production applications
- Collaborate with operations and business leaders to define technology needs and priorities
- Direct system integrations with fleet, warehouse, and transportation management solutions
- Coordinate with vendors and partners to deliver and support enterprise applications
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization across application portfolio
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and resource allocations
- Mentor and grow technical staff while promoting safety, integrity, and accountability
