Job Description

Job Title: Python Developer (react)

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office) at 580 Kingsley Park Dr, Fort Mill, SC 29715

Contract length: 12 months

 Summary: Python developer with react front-end and Python backend experience, responsible for developing and helping maintain our AWS hosted web application. Collaborate with data modelers, analysts, and business users to ensure ongoing development with different product teams.

 Skills & Experience:
• Shown experience with 5+ years in an enterprise environment.
• Solid grasp of OOP's principles, experience using common libraries for data manipulation (pandas, NumPy, DATETIME, regex functions).
• 2+ years of front-end development with experience in React, JS, HTLM, and CSS.
• 1+ years of experience in SQL Server writing basic queries and implementing SP’s.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git we use Bitbucket, GitLab)
• Experience in crafting comprehensive documentation using systems like Confluence and bug tracking software like Jira.
• Proficient in using testing frameworks (UnitTest, Pytest, Jest) to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Desirable: Hands-on experience with AWS, AZURE, or other cloud providers. Experience with Databricks, ADF, Glue, ETL’s, and ELT’s.
• Shown ability to work inclusively, communicate efficiently, and collaborate within a team.

 Responsibilities:
• Lead the demonstration of consistency to the LSEG Data standard policies and procedures.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and frameworks as needed for projects.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends and standard processes.
• Develop and maintain web applications using React and Python.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Optimize applications and code for speed and scalability.
• Solve and debug applications to improve performance.
• Participate in code reviews and supply to teams’ standard processes.
• Document data ownership and establish integrations with enterprise data repositories.
