Field Service Engineer (Packaging Machinery) Location: Midlands<br />Salary: Up to £40,000 Basic + OTE up to £50,000<br />Benefits: Company Van + Overtime About the Role We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering business, covering customer sites across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

This is a customer-facing role focused on the installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of packaging machinery. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and be confident diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on complex automated equipment.

You will work predominantly on-site, providing a high level of technical support while building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities Install, commission and service packaging machinery at customer sites.<br />Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support.<br />Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control-system faults.<br />Complete machinery upgrades, modifications and installations.<br />Provide technical support and guidance to customers.<br />Complete accurate service reports and documentation.<br />Manage your own workload, travel and customer appointments.<br />Work safely and professionally across a range of manufacturing environments.

About You Previous Field Service Engineering experience is essential.<br />Packaging machinery experience is essential.<br />Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.<br />Experience working with automated machinery and control systems.<br />Comfortable working independently at customer sites.<br />Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.<br />Full UK driving licence.<br />Willingness to travel throughout the Midlands and occasionally further afield.
