12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Workshop-Based
Are you an electrically and mechanically minded Engineer who enjoys getting stuck into fault-finding, repairs and keeping machinery running at its best?
A leading UK distributor of industrial cleaning machinery is looking for a Workshop Engineer to join its established engineering team in Tewkesbury on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is a hands-on workshop role where youll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of industrial cleaning equipment. Youll work alongside an experienced engineering team, using your technical skills to get machinery back into reliable working order and ready for customers.
The Role
Based at the companys Tewkesbury workshop, youll work on a varied range of industrial cleaning machinery, carrying out planned servicing, repairs and electrical/mechanical fault diagnosis.
Youll have the opportunity to work on different types of equipment, solve technical problems and develop your knowledge within a supportive and well-established engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair industrial cleaning machinery
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults
- Use test equipment, including multimeters, to identify faults
- Carry out inspections, testing and general workshop repairs
- Prepare machinery for customer delivery or return to service
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Work closely with the wider engineering and support teams
- Follow company health & safety procedures and maintain high workshop standards
About You
Were looking for an Engineer with a practical, hands-on approach and a good understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
Youll ideally have:
- Previous electrical and mechanical engineering experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience using a multimeter and other basic test equipment
- A methodical and practical approach to repairs
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- A background in industrial machinery, plant, cleaning equipment, agricultural equipment, vehicles or similar would be advantageous.
