Multifamily Systems & Traceability Analyst 

Position Overview 

Client is seeking experienced Multifamily Systems & Traceability Analysts to support the technical component of Banking and Finance Multifamily Credit Policy Traceability Assessment. 

The role will evaluate how individual Credit Policy requirements are implemented, enforced, or surfaced within the myOptigo platform, establishing traceability from policy requirements to application functionality, business rules, decision logic, workflows, validations, and manual controls. 

The ideal candidate combines strong business/systems analysis capabilities with multifamily lending knowledge and sufficient technical depth to investigate application implementation. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Establish requirement-level traceability between Multifamily Credit Policy and myOptigo functionality.  

• Analyze implementation and enforcement through:  

• Business rules and decision logic  

• UI validations and workflow controls  

• Data-entry requirements and field-level restrictions  

• Automated underwriting and eligibility determinations  

• Funding and delivery controls  

• Credit Policy Exception (CPE) processing  

• Document requirements and system-generated conditions  

• Workflow status transitions  

• Approval requirements  

• Manual processes and controls  

• Review Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, system documentation, business requirements, application artifacts, and other available evidence.  

• Work with application SMEs, developers, architects, product owners, underwriting SMEs, and business stakeholders to understand system behavior.  

• Determine whether policy requirements are fully implemented, partially implemented, minimally implemented, manually controlled, or not implemented.  

• Document the evidence supporting each traceability determination.  

• Identify gaps and inconsistencies between intended policy requirements and system implementation.  

• Identify areas where requirements currently rely upon manual rather than system-enforced controls.  

• Support assessment of opportunities for improved traceability, governance, and future automation.  

• Participate in peer review and QA to ensure complete, consistent, and accurate traceability.  

Required Qualifications 

• 3+ years of business analyst and/or systems analyst experience.  

• 1+ year of multifamily experience.  

• Understanding of the multifamily loan market, including underwriting processes and underwriting standards.  

• Strong experience with business and systems requirements analysis.  

• Experience analyzing application business rules, decision logic, workflows, validations, integrations, and/or system controls.  

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.  

• Technical knowledge of Java and the ability to understand Java-based application artifacts sufficiently for systems analysis.  

• Technical knowledge of AMQ/JMS and message-driven architecture.  

• Ability to translate between business/credit requirements and technical implementation.  

• Strong documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with microservice-based architecture.  

• Experience with multifamily underwriting, origination, credit, or servicing platforms.  

• Experience tracing business, policy, regulatory, or control requirements to technology implementation.  

• Familiarity with source-code repositories and application architecture.  

• Experience assessing automated versus manual controls.  

• Multifamily underwriting knowledge in Conventional, TAH, Student Housing, Seniors Housing, and/or Manufactured Housing.  

• Experience in regulated financial-services environments.
