Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager Location: Surrey &amp; South London<br />Salary: £60,000–£80,000 DOE<br />Package: Car negotiable + Fuel Card<br />Type: Permanent<br />Start: ASAP We are looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager to join an expanding construction business and play a key role in its continued growth. This is a hands-on, senior position for an experienced construction professional who can combine business development, estimating, project management and commercial awareness. The Role

• Help drive the continued expansion of the business.
• Develop new opportunities and build relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Bring in new business through established contacts across Surrey and London.
• Build relationships with architects, surveyors, developers, managing agents and commercial clients.
• Act as a professional face of the business at client meetings, site visits and tenders.
• Manage 1–3 projects at any one time.
• Oversee projects from initial enquiry through to successful completion.
• Estimate and tender for new projects.
• Negotiate contracts and subcontractor packages.
• Manage procurement and value engineering.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved margins.
• Oversee Site Managers, subcontractors and project teams.
• Manage programmes, quality, health &amp; safety and client relationships.
• Monitor project costs, variations, budgets and profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure repeat business.
• Take a hands-on approach to solving project and commercial issues.
• Help develop the business into a larger main contractor over time. Experience Required
• Strong background with an SME or main contractor.
• Experience across residential and commercial construction.
• High-end residential new builds, extensions and refurbishments preferred.
• Commercial experience such as fit-out/refurbishment is advantageous.
• Experience managing projects from approximately £50k to several million pounds.
• Strong understanding of estimating, tendering, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Commercially aware with a good understanding of margins and profitability.
• Existing industry contacts across Surrey / South London would be highly advantageous.
• Confident dealing directly with clients and winning new work.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Entrepreneurial, driven and keen to play a major role in business growth. The Opportunity This is not a pure BDM, QS or Site Manager role. We are looking for someone who can genuinely identify opportunities, help win the work and then oversee its successful and profitable delivery.
