Project Manager – Aberdeen Location: Aberdeen Job Type: Permanent About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established and well-regarded civil engineering and construction contractor, working on a range of projects across the North East of Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction to take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, subcontractors, site teams and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme. Key Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion.

Manage project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery strategies. Lead and support Site Managers, Engineers and wider project teams. Ensure projects are delivered in line with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact throughout project delivery.

Monitor project performance, costs, progress and commercial performance. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors. Review and manage project programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions. Ensure all necessary project documentation, RAMS, permits and quality requirements are in place.

Attend regular client and internal project meetings. Manage variations, change control and contractual requirements. Identify and manage project risks throughout the lifecycle of each project. Work closely with the commercial team to ensure financial targets are achieved.

Ensure projects are completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales. Support the development of junior members of the project and site teams. About You The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience working as a Project Manager within civil engineering or construction. Experience delivering projects from start to finish.

Strong knowledge of project management, programming and commercial control. Experience managing site-based teams and subcontractors. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A strong understanding of health and safety requirements within construction.

The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against challenging programmes. A commercially aware and organised approach. Relevant industry qualifications such as HNC/HND, Degree, SMSTS, CSCS or equivalent. Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, roads, earthworks or similar civil engineering projects would be advantageous.
