Job Tittle: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Plano, TX, 75094 (Hybrid - onsite work every Wednesday)
Job Type: 1+ year Contract
Job Summary
The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for validating complex financial workflows, integrations, and controls across distributed systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, accounting, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure applications are functionally correct, audit-ready, and compliant with internal control requirements. This role involves designing and executing automated and manual test strategies, validating financial data, testing APIs and event-driven services, and supporting CI/CD quality processes.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience in financial, fintech, or regulated environments
- Strong experience with Python and pytest for test automation
- Hands-on experience with REST API Testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
- Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, maker-checker workflows, and segregation of duties testing
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java-based microservices environments
- Knowledge of FastAPI and PostgreSQL
- Experience testing financial calculations, reconciliations, and valuation-related data
- Familiarity with AWS cloud environments
- Agile/Scrum experience
