Senior QA Automation Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a hybrid position (minimum 3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. This role ensures software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements through comprehensive testing. The ideal candidate will be an expert in conditioning and generating test data, building and executing both manual and automated test suites, communicating test results, and assisting with defect triage within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:

• Lead test planning, case reviews, and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure thorough test coverage
• Create and manage traceability throughout the development lifecycle
• Utilize testing tools and processes to complete testing and support code promotion
• Maintain and catalog test suites across all test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.)
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks, identify automation opportunities, and develop test automation for applicable test types
• Execute manual and automated tests, reporting issues and defects with clear background information
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Proven experience in UI and API test automation with Java using Selenium and RestAssured
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Proficiency with source control systems like GitHub or BitBucket
• Experience with Lean Agile methodologies
• Lean Agile Certification

Desired skills:

• Experience with Jira
• Experience with Spring Boot

Pay range: $50.42 - $58.42 per hour
