Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced M&A Payroll Processor with hands-on, live payroll processing experience using Dayforce and a strong background in payroll team leadership and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

The ideal candidate will have recently managed or supervised payroll staff, supported payroll integration during acquisitions, and successfully processed payroll across multiple entities. This role requires someone who is adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment undergoing organizational change.

Implementation-only consultants without hands-on payroll processing experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and support live payroll processing using Dayforce, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.

  • Support payroll integration and transition activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and newly acquired entities.

  • Manage payroll processing across multiple legal entities, including payroll data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.

  • Lead, supervise, or coordinate payroll team members and ensure payroll activities meet established deadlines.

  • Review payroll records, identify discrepancies, and resolve processing issues.

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure payroll continuity during acquisitions and organizational changes.

  • Adapt to evolving processes, systems, and business requirements in a fast-paced environment.

  • Provide onsite support when required and travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Recent payroll leadership experience, ideally within the last five years, as a Payroll Manager, Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Lead, or in a comparable leadership role.

  • Hands-on, live Dayforce payroll processing experience. Implementation or configuration experience alone is insufficient.

  • Demonstrated M&A payroll experience, including payroll integration, acquisition transitions, or onboarding newly acquired entities.

  • Experience processing payroll across multiple entities and managing associated payroll complexities.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll operations, reconciliations, data accuracy, and issue resolution.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • An adaptable, easy-going working style, with the ability to manage change in a fast-growing organization.

  • Ability to start within two weeks and work approximately 20–40 hours per week.

  • Willingness and ability to travel or provide onsite support when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP GlobalView.

  • Experience supporting payroll integration following acquisitions, including multi-entity payroll transitions.

  • Located in or within reasonable driving distance of Louisville, KY, or Montpelier, OH.

Note: Only candidates who can demonstrate recent payroll leadership, hands-on Dayforce payroll processing, and relevant M&A experience.
