Job Title: Pre-employment Investigations Associate

Location: Irving, TX-- Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday and Wednesday

Client: American aerospace and defense company

Duration: 12 Month Contract

Industry: Aerospace

Shift: Must be flexible to support multiple time zones

Experience: 2 years with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years with a High School Diploma

Job Overview:

The Pre-employment Investigations Associate will manage the pre-employment screening and onboarding process, serving as the primary point of contact for candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and external vendors. The role involves coordinating background checks and drug screenings, resolving onboarding issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate pre-employment investigations, including background checks and drug screening.

·       Communicate with candidates regarding screening status, missing information, and onboarding requirements.

·       Collaborate with HR, Recruiting, Security, and external vendors to ensure timely candidate clearance.

·       Manage cases and documentation using Workday, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office 365.

·       Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and text while providing excellent customer service.

·       Troubleshoot screening and onboarding issues and maintain accurate records.

·       Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.

Top 6 Required Skills:

1. HR / Pre-employment Investigations (PEI) – Previous HR experience, preferably in pre-employment screening.

2. Customer Service – Strong phone presence and candidate support skills.

3. Workday – Experience managing HR, onboarding, or applicant records.

4. ServiceNow – Case management, documentation, and issue resolution.

5. Communication & Problem-Solving – Strong verbal/written communication and troubleshooting abilities.

6. Computer Literacy – Proficiency with MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and web-based systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       HR Service Center experience.

·       Background in onboarding, staffing, recruiting, and pre-employment investigations.

·       Experience with Amazon Connect.

·       Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A customer-focused HR professional with experience in pre-employment screening, onboarding, or HR operations. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, experience handling high-volume inquiries, and proficiency with Workday and ServiceNow.

Recruiter focus: Prioritize candidates with HR Service Center or call center experience, hands-on Workday and ServiceNow exposure, and direct involvement in background checks, drug screening, or pre-employment investigations.
