Certified Project Manager (Modernization Implementation)

Note: 90-100% remote but can require staff to come onsite as necessary with sufficient notice. Onsite work is not likely, but candidate should be prepared to come onsite if required.

Job Description

The selected candidate will provide strategic leadership and hands-on execution, working closely with agency leadership, business stakeholders, technology teams, procurement specialists, and the business area Strategic Consultant.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large-scale IT modernization, digital transformation, or enterprise systems implementation initiatives involving SaaS vendors.
• Demonstrated experience planning and managing complex technology procurement initiatives.
• Proven expertise in vendor evaluation, selection, contract negotiation, and multi-vendor management.
• Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies, systems implementation, and organizational change management.
• Experience facilitating executive-level decision-making and coordinating diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to work independently while developing and delivering project artifacts and strategic recommendations.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum.
• Experience using Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling and management tools.
