Battery Algorithm AI/ML Engineer (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in San Diego, CA that is seeking a Battery Algorithm AI/ML Engineer for a hybrid role.

Summary

The Battery team is looking for a software engineer to support the battery algorithms software tool development for various products. The Battery Algorithm AI/ML Engineer will be required to integrate algorithm features cross-platform and develop software tool to improve the process on the battery algorithm development. They will also create automated pipeline to integrate engineering requirements and specification with validation results, including agentic AI tooling for software & algorithm development.

REQUIREMENTS

• M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experienced in C++/Matlab/Python programming forfor software tool development
• Knowledgeable about machine learning models and applications
• Knowledgeable about making REST-API calls and basics of web-based and cloud technologies
• Experienced in using AI coding tools and creating agentic AI applications, including workflows, MCP, memory, etc.
• Experienced in unit test, integration test and acceptance test's tool and development methodologies
• Strong EE Familiar with basics of electrical circuits for modelingfundamentals in analog and mixed signal circuit. and simulations
• Experienced in git based version control system
• Experienced in design verification for high volume manufacturing
• Familiar with lab measurement equipment and test methodology
• Experience with requirement management tools is a plus
• General understanding of control theory and lithium-ion battery modeling is a plus
• Ability to articulate problems and path to resolution both verbally and with documentation
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
