Senior MLOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client seeking a remote Senior MLOps Engineer to join their team.

Summary

We are looking for an AI-forward engineer with strong MLOps and model-serving experience. This person will be within the online organization, but supporting other data scientist's models and deployment to the search, retrieval and ranking. This team consists of backend engineers focused on Java/Micronaut, Python/fast API, for translation of data, along with performing a combination of data engineering and platform/MLOps work to support the ML models. For the day to day, this person will mostly own model serving and the pipelines and will work closely with data science partners.

Key Tasks

• Owning production ML model serving for search
• Automating model training and refresh pipelines on Airflow/Cloud Composer, with monitoring and alerts
• Load testing, latency tuning and capacity planning for high-traffic services

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of software engineering, with at least 2-3 years deploying and operating ML models in production
• Python (FastAPI) and Java (Spring Boot or Micronaut)
• Google Cloud Platform: Vertex AI, GKE/Kubernetes, BigQuery, Dataflow
• Model serving: Triton Inference Server, including model versioning and rollout
• MLOps: CI/CD for models, Airflow, feature stores, and monitoring model health and drift

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
