Key Responsibilities

• Define, build, own, and run services in high growth environments
• Solve unique and first order problems in massive scale areas such as compute services, DynamoDB/NoSQL databases, Glacier, S3 data lakes and many other AWS Services
• Learn how to build and operate distributed systems at massive scale
• Build and influence the tools and utilities that are part of the AWS fleet running our internal services

A Day in the Life

On a typical day engineers might deep dive to determine the root cause of a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with the top engineers at Amazon, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues.

Systems Analyst Role Details

As a Systems Analyst you will own supporting activities for these services, work with development teams to establish and improve service support, drive issues to resolution, understand business logic and architecture, contribute to support documentation, perform code builds and deployments, communicate status, and create and interpret metrics that measure support success and service performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with systems administration on either Linux/UNIX or Windows operating systems
• Experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Knowledge of scripting languages (bash, python, etc.)
• Experience writing and publishing technical documents or equivalent

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
