Job Description

Electronics Design Engineer

Great Yarmouth

£50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join an established engineering business developing specialist electronic systems for marine and offshore applications.

This is a hands-on design role covering electronic circuit design, prototyping, PCB development, testing and troubleshooting. You’ll work closely with other engineers to develop innovative products from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prototype electronic circuits and systems
  • Develop and integrate electronics into larger products
  • Support PCB design, simulation and layout
  • Produce technical documentation, test specifications and procedures
  • Test, troubleshoot and resolve electronic design issues
  • Work within ISO 9001 quality processes
  • Collaborate with engineers across design and development
  • Keep up to date with developments in electronic engineering

About You

  • Degree or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuit design
  • Experience with circuit design, simulation and PCB layout software
  • Experience programming MCU and PIC devices
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

Desirable Experience

  • C or C# programming
  • DSP or FPGA development
  • Analogue and RF circuit design
  • Acoustic systems, ideally underwater
  • Strong mathematical or physics background
