Virtualization Manager / Senior VMware Systems Engineer Location: Jersey City, NJ Hybrid
Schedule: 3 Days Onsite (Monday or Friday + 2 Days)

Role Overview
We are seeking a senior VMware Virtualization SME to manage and modernize a large-scale enterprise virtualization environment supporting 400 500+ servers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage VMware vSphere 8+ and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9) environments.
• Monitor capacity, validate RITMs, and manage infrastructure growth.
• Lead server refresh, hardware lifecycle, deployment, and production activities.
• Support VMware environments including NSX-T, vSAN, Aria Operations, VRLI, and VRNI.
• Automate provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management using PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or Python.
• Perform performance monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrades, and capacity optimization.
• Support production changes, incident management, DR, and 24x7 operational activities.
• Ensure adherence to security, governance, regulatory, and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, networking, vendors, and global IT teams.

Required Skills

• 5 7+ years of hands-on VMware experience.
• Strong expertise in vSphere 8+ and VCF 9.
• Experience managing large-scale VMware environments.
• Strong automation and scripting skills.
• Experience with Aria Operations, VRLI, and VRNI.
• Knowledge of NSX-T, vSAN, enterprise storage, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing.
• Banking/Financial Services experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with capacity management, server lifecycle, and production change processes.

Preferred: VCP-CMA, VCAP-CF, ITIL, VMware automation/API experience.
