DevOps Engineer

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support the automation and streamlining of deployment processes within a collaborative team environment. You will work with Linux-based systems, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Ansible, and automation tools while supporting stable and secure development and deployment environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Linux-based systems to ensure stable and secure environments.
• Support and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Work with senior engineers to automate deployment processes and improve workflows.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and pipeline-related issues.
• Assist with integrating new DevOps tools into existing infrastructure.
• Use Red Hat Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Support automation of repetitive tasks and orchestration of deployments.
• Use Groovy to customize Jenkins pipelines and automate build processes.
• Work with version control, scripting, monitoring, and logging tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and continuously learn new technologies.

Required Skills

• 1+ year of Linux experience
• 1+ year of Red Hat Ansible experience
• 1+ year of Jenkins experience
• 1+ year of Groovy programming experience

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Docker or other containerization tools
• Bash and/or Python scripting
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus or ELK Stack
• CMS/Federal project experience

Federal Requirements

• Must be eligible to receive Federal Public Trust clearance
• Must have established U.S. residency for at least 3 of the last 5 years
• Must be local to the Washington, D.C. Metro/Northern VA area
• Travel expenses will not be reimbursed
• Background investigation must be completed prior to the start of work
