Requirements Analyst with Security Clearance

Requirements/Business Systems Analyst Location: Arlington, VA
Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support application development, modernization, and ongoing system operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements gathering, Agile documentation, and web application testing, along with the ability to work collaboratively with government stakeholders, product owners, developers, and end users.

This individual will play an important role in translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements while helping ensure that applications and system enhancements meet organizational objectives. The position will also provide user support, assist with troubleshooting, and maintain accurate technical and process documentation.

Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support development teams and project objectives. Collaborate with government Product Owners and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and refine requirements. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, functional specifications, user guides, process workflows, and related materials. Participate in stakeholder and project meetings, capturing meeting minutes, action items, decisions, and follow-up activities.

Work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented. Perform web application testing and assist with identifying, documenting, and resolving functional issues. Provide service desk support by responding to user inquiries, troubleshooting application issues, and managing support tickets through resolution. Maintain and update system documentation to ensure information remains accurate, current, and accessible.

Support ongoing application modernization initiatives, including efforts involving Single Page Application (SPA) architecture. Assist with the adoption and use of emerging AI tools to support business and technical activities.

Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements. 5+ years of experience testing web applications. 3+ years of experience developing Agile user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation. 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office 2019 or newer, including Microsoft 365. 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or comparable requirements and development management platforms.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Experience collaborating with development teams and translating business needs into actionable technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Claude or other AI-assisted tools and applications. Understanding of prompt engineering, AI interaction, and evaluating and interpreting AI-generated output. Exposure to AI adoption initiatives or pilot programs within a professional or government environment. Experience supporting application modernization or Single Page Application (SPA) architecture. Familiarity with front-end and back-end web application testing tools and methodologies. Security Clearance Requirement An active Secret security clearance is required. The selected candidate must be authorized to access, review, discuss, and handle classified information in accordance with applicable security requirements.
