Job Description

RRC is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst III to support its Mainframe Transformation Program, including legacy system modernization, SaaS/COTS implementations, mainframe data migration, and data warehouse initiatives.

The candidate must have strong business analysis experience, excellent technical documentation skills, and hands-on experience with RBDMS (Risk Based Data Management System) in the Oil & Gas regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.

• Reverse engineer legacy mainframe applications and document existing functionality.

• Develop business process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and system design documents.

• Support mainframe modernization, SaaS/COTS implementation, and data migration projects.

• Facilitate requirements workshops with business users and technical teams.

• Perform root cause analysis of production issues and document corrective actions.

• Develop data models, process diagrams, prototypes, and screen mockups.

• Maintain requirements traceability and technical documentation.

• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and implementation activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and system functionality.

Required Skills

• 10+ years: Business analysis experience on software development projects.

• 3+ years: RBDMS (Risk Based Data Management System) experience in Oil & Gas regulatory systems – MANDATORY.

• 10+ years: Requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.

• 10+ years: Business process modeling, use cases, functional specifications, and technical documentation.

• 10+ years: Production support analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

• 10+ years: Experience facilitating business and technical requirements workshops.

• 10+ years: UAT coordination, validation, and implementation support.

• Strong knowledge of MS Office and process modeling/prototyping tools such as Visio, SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, or Axure.

• Excellent communication, technical writing, and analytical skills.

1. RBDMS – 3+ Years (Mandatory): Hands-on experience with Risk Based Data Management System in the Oil & Gas regulatory environment.

2. Senior Business Analysis – 10+ Years: Requirements elicitation, functional specifications, process modeling, technical documentation, and stakeholder management.

3. Legacy System Analysis & Modernization: Reverse engineering existing systems, documenting business processes, supporting data migration, and coordinating UAT.
