Location: Hybrid. Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area and be onsite at the client office in Pleasanton, CA 2-3 days per week (mandatory). Onsite days to be coordinated with the client team.

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from affiliate business, clinical, and technology teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.

Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on identifying, shaping, and supporting AI adoption opportunities across Risant affiliates, including discovery sessions, workshops, and working meetings with business, clinical, and operational teams. Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, user stories, and current-state and future-state process flows, and translate business needs into clear problem statements and success measures.

Help assess AI use cases for business value, feasibility, risk, and readiness, and support the evaluation and adoption of AI platforms and tools such as OpenAI and Claude. Help affiliates understand what AI can and cannot do, setting realistic expectations. Partner with IT, data, security, and vendor teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered, and support testing, validation, and user acceptance of solutions. Manage timelines, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues for assigned initiatives, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Support change management, training, and communication to drive adoption, and track and report on adoption and value realized.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in IT or technology-related roles as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solution Consultant (10-15 years is ideal; candidates with equivalent depth of experience will be considered)
5+ years of healthcare experience, with strong healthcare functional and operational knowledge
Working understanding of AI concepts and use cases (e.g., generative AI, automation, summarization, documentation support, analytics)
Demonstrated experience in project or program management, including managing scope, timelines, and stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage business leaders, clinicians, and IT teams
Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to work onsite in Pleasanton, CA 2-3 days per week.

Preferred

3-5 years of hands-on experience with AI-related initiatives, such as evaluating, piloting, implementing, or supporting AI or automation solutions (candidates with less direct experience but strong exposure and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly are welcome)
Familiarity with AI platforms or tools such as OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Claude
Healthcare clinical background or close clinical workflow experience
Epic functional knowledge (any module)
Experience working with health system affiliates, multi-entity organizations, or shared-services models
Experience with change management and adoption programs
Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, or similar)
Familiarity with healthcare data privacy and compliance considerations (HIPAA)
Analytical and problem-solving ability, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
Comfort with ambiguity and an emerging technology space
Facilitation, influence, and relationship-building skills
