Senior Full Stack Java Engineer / AI Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver highly scalable applications within a financial-services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, AWS, and modern AI/GenAI technologies.

The engineer will work across backend services, frontend applications, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions while following strong engineering, security, testing, and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop and integrate AI/GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Work with AWS cloud services to build and deploy cloud-native applications.
• Develop event-driven solutions using technologies such as Kafka, Redis, and other distributed systems.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Implement automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, and TDD practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Apply observability and monitoring using tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or equivalent platforms.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture, and other engineering teams to deliver business-critical applications.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with SQL/relational databases and preferably NoSQL technologies.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, Git, and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience working with distributed/event-driven technologies such as Kafka.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, or AI agents.
• Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar LLM platforms.
• Experience with Python for AI/automation workflows.
• Experience with Datadog, Splunk, or enterprise observability platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Financial services or banking domain experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Amazon Q, or Cursor.
• Experience with high-volume, high-availability production systems.
