Senior Embedded C++ Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Embedded C++ Engineer with strong hands-on programming skills in Modern C++ and Linux. The ideal candidate should have experience developing software for embedded platforms, working with Linux-based systems, device drivers, and performance-critical applications.

This role requires someone who is highly proficient in C/C++, Modern C++ (C++11/14/17), Embedded Linux, and comfortable working close to the system level.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in embedded software development, including architecture, design, prototyping, coding, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Strong programming expertise in C and Modern C++, with hands-on experience in C++11, C++14, and/or C++17.
• Strong Embedded Linux development experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux device drivers, BSP, and Linux subsystems.
• Strong understanding of Linux application fundamentals, including stdio, environment variables, command-line processing, signals, and related concepts.
• Excellent understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and algorithms.
• Experience with memory and performance profiling/debugging tools.
• Strong knowledge of the C++ build process, Makefiles, and build environments.
• Good understanding of Inter-Process Communication (IPC) and Remote Procedure Calls (RPC).
• Experience working with different communication models, including client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe architectures.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and code-quality skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams across different disciplines.

Nice to Have

• Experience with IP-based communication protocols and technologies such as HTTP, TLS, REST, WebSockets, JSON, XML, Protobuf, FlatBuffers, RTP, RTSP, and HLS.
• Experience working on products involving complex embedded or Linux-based systems.
• Exposure to large-scale, cross-functional engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C and Modern C++.
• Develop and enhance software components running on Linux-based embedded platforms.
• Work closely with system architecture, BSP, device drivers, and Linux subsystems.
• Analyze and resolve complex software, performance, and system-level issues.
• Implement efficient multithreaded and high-performance solutions.
• Participate in architecture/design discussions, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation.
• Develop reliable software components while following established coding and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to deliver robust embedded solutions.

Note: Candidates should have strong hands-on Modern C++ programming skills and solid Embedded Linux experience.
