Solution Architect
Location : Bridgewater NJ
This is Contract to hire role.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Solution Architects to lead enterprise application, cloud, integration, and data architecture initiatives. The role involves defining scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing solutions while ensuring alignment with business objectives, architecture standards, and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with business, product, architecture, security, infrastructure, and delivery stakeholders to define solution strategy and target-state architecture.
  • Design end-to-end application, cloud, integration, data, and security architectures that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop architecture artifacts including solution blueprints, component models, interface designs, data flows, deployment architectures, and technology selections.
  • Drive architecture governance through design reviews, standards, reusable patterns, decision records, risk management, and compliance oversight.
  • Define and oversee integration architectures covering APIs, event-driven systems, messaging, workflows, orchestration, data exchange, and interoperability.
  • Provide architectural leadership to engineering, DevOps, security, testing, and operations teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Support technical estimation, dependency planning, operational readiness, resilience planning, and production deployment activities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise solution architecture across complex application, cloud, integration, and data landscapes.
  • Strong expertise in requirements analysis, solution decomposition, architecture modeling, non-functional design, and technology evaluation.
  • Knowledge of secure, scalable, resilient, interoperable, high-performing, and maintainable architecture principles.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud architecture, preferably Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), including hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience designing APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging solutions, workflows, data integration, and cross-system orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of architecture governance, design reviews, standards, reference architectures, ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), and technical risk management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation, analytical thinking, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent architecture certifications.
  • Experience in application modernization, cloud migration, landing zones, microservices, containers, serverless architectures, and API management.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and operational readiness practices.
  • Exposure to security architecture, compliance controls, data protection, and regulated enterprise environments.
  • Experience working with distributed onshore and offshore architecture and engineering teams.
