Job Description

Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Program Aide to support programming within our community centers: West Side Community Center and Geoffrey Canada Community Center.

The Program Aide will play a key role in supporting vibrant, engaging programming that serves children, youth, and community members beyond traditional after-school hours. This individual will work closely with Activity Specialists and Coordinators to assist in facilitating activities, preparing materials, and ensuring programs run smoothly. In addition, the Program Aide will help support special events, workshops, and community engagements that foster connection and participation across the center.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable team player who brings energy, creativity, and a strong commitment to community. The ideal candidate enjoys working with diverse groups of children, families, and residents and is eager to contribute to a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment.
