Job Description

  • Growing healthcare startup in the DFW area is looking for an experienced OR/Surgical Tech with a solid background in variety of Surgeries.  Must have worked doing internet research and solid Excel.
  • Must have experience from the Hospital OR rather than from surgical centers. Should know the instruments and equipment & have done research for a variety of types of complex surgeries and the various med/surge types of products.

Position Overview:

  • Purpose of role is to classify millions of medical products into categories that the healthcare organizations purchase and in such a way that a greater volume of product is purchased.
  • Role responsibilities include review product info for correct categorization/organization placement. (This requires an understanding of how the products are used & fit together in a procedure.)
  • Will perform data cleansing and analysis using Excel (sort/filter, import/export)
  • Willingness and good attitude in learning additional computer skills.
  • Must be intuitive - knowing when to ask questions and what types of questions to ask – has a sense of natural curiosity
  • This is a semi non-technical job and you will need to be capable of learning things quickly and an ability to do very detailed computer work for long periods of time (much different than the OR).
  • Must have a tolerance level for repetitive work that can get very monotonous yet remain very detail oriented.

Required:

  • 5 years experience as Surgical Tech working in hospital OR within the last year.
  • Excel
  • Critical thinking -Ability to logic things out, anticipate additional information needed,
  • Organized-categorize/organize data & do research for verification purposes.
  • Positive attitude- strong work ethic & writte/verbal skills.

Preferred:

  • Military medical experience
  • Customer Service experience
