Lead Oracle Fusion SCM Consultant – Manufacturing, Inventory, Costing & Planning
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months C2H)
Location: San Jose, CA – Remote with occasional travel
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Oracle Fusion SCM Consultant to lead full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementations across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory, Costing, and Planning.
The ideal candidate will serve as a Senior Functional Lead / Solution Architect, working directly with business and operations stakeholders to drive requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, integration, and deployment.
Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud, particularly Inventory, Manufacturing, Cost Management, and Supply Chain Planning, along with industry experience in Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or Medical Devices.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Functional Leadership
Lead end-to-end Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud implementations, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Serve as a trusted supply chain advisor to plant managers, inventory teams, cost accountants, and supply chain leadership.
Drive process standardization and optimization across manufacturing, inventory, planning, and costing functions.
Lead functional workstreams and coordinate with technical, integration, data migration, and business teams.
Oracle SCM Cloud Configuration
Design and configure Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud Inventory Management.
Configure inventory organizations, subinventories, locators, item structures, lot/serial controls, and inter-organization transfers.
Design and configure Oracle Fusion Manufacturing, including:
Discrete Manufacturing
Process Manufacturing
Work Definitions
Work Orders
Resources
Plant and work center setup
Manufacturing execution processes
Configure Oracle Cost Management, including:
Standard, actual, and average costing
Cost accounting
Cost distributions
Variance analysis
Subledger Accounting (SLA)
Configure Oracle Supply Chain Planning, including:
Demand Planning
Supply Planning
Forecasting
Safety Stock
MRP
Supply recommendations
Available-to-Promise (ATP)
Implementation, Testing & Deployment
Lead requirements discovery, functional design, configuration, and documentation.
Develop functional requirements for RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, forms, and workflows.
Lead CRP, SIT, and UAT activities.
Support inventory, WIP, costing, and planning data migration.
Develop and execute cutover and go-live strategies.
Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution.
Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with technical and integration teams to define and validate integrations between Oracle SCM Cloud and:
MES / Shop Floor Systems
PLM
WMS / 3PL
Other enterprise applications
Collaborate with Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, and IT teams to ensure end-to-end process alignment.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of Oracle Supply Chain experience.
3–5+ years leading Oracle Fusion SCM Cloud implementations.
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Oracle Fusion Inventory
Oracle Fusion Manufacturing
Oracle Fusion Cost Management
Oracle Fusion Supply Chain Planning
Strong understanding of Discrete and/or Process Manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of inventory valuation and cost accounting principles.
Strong understanding of MRP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, forecasting, and ATP.
Proven experience leading functional tracks on large-scale or global Oracle Cloud implementations.
Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or Medical Devices industry experience is required.
Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating Oracle Fusion SCM with MES, PLM, WMS, or 3PL platforms.
Experience with global manufacturing and supply chain transformations.
Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders and operations leadership.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud implementation methodologies and best practices.
Work Arrangement
Location: San Jose, CA
Work Model: Remote with occasional travel
Employment: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Important: Candidates must be comfortable with the Contract-to-Hire structure and be open to converting to a full-time position after the initial 6-month contract period.
