Volt is hiring for a 3rd Shift CNC Lathe Machine Operator for a company located in San Diego (Miramar Area), CA..

As a 3rd Shift Lathe Machine Operator, you will:

• Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures and production schedules.
• Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials and adjusting machine settings as required.
• Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient operation and consistent product quality.
• Perform routine machine start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities.
• Identify and correct minor machine issues, jams, or operational interruptions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct in-process inspections and verify parts meet quality specifications throughout production runs.
• Measure and inspect finished products using gauges, measuring tools, and visual inspection techniques.
• Record production output, scrap, downtime, and quality data accurately.
• Replenish raw materials and components to maintain continuous production.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance tasks.
• Communicate machine performance, quality concerns, and maintenance needs to supervisors and production leadership.
• Follow all safety procedures, operating instructions, and company policies while working with manufacturing equipment.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing machine efficiency, quality, and throughput.

This is a full-time, Direct-hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience operating CNC, automated, semi-automated, extrusion, molding, packaging, converting, or other production machinery.
• Experience performing machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
• Ability to read work orders, production schedules, and basic manufacturing documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 3rd Shift: 9:45 PM - 5:45 AM

Pay Range: $24/hr - $34/hr
