Job Description


We are seeking a Construction - QA/QC Program Engineer V to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality assurance and quality control for mission critical and data center construction and a proven ability to establish metrics, lead cross-functional QA/QC programs, and drive corrective actions to closure.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance.

  • Analyze metrics to determine root causes of adverse trends and coordinate corrective actions with relevant parties.

  • Assist in building the on-site partner's construction QA and QC team.

  • Develop QA/QC processes and standards to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cross-functional communication.

  • Interface among design, construction, safety, facility operations, and general contractor(s).

  • Provide training on quality awareness, procedures, and role-specific QA/QC responsibilities.

  • Coordinate quality issues across design, construction, and facility operations teams.

  • Audit QA/QC activities of staff and subcontractors to assess conformance with procedures.

  • Examine MECP submittals for quality assurance and provide comments to ensure compliance with client QC standards.

  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documents for compliance with requirements and quality records.

  • Develop, review, and approve quality documents including procedures, testing matrices, checklists, technical deliverables, and test plans.

  • Recommend and verify corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances in coordination with project stakeholders.

  • Review level 4 and level 5 commissioning scripts and provide feedback.

  • Support construction manager in reviewing turnover documentation for completeness and accuracy.

  • Support review of level 3, level 4, and level 5 energization, start-up, and commissioning schedules to help ensure compliance.

  • Drive closure of open issues in ACC and escalate unresolved items as needed.

  • Attend factory witness tests for OFCI and CFCI equipment and systems as required.

  • Conduct onsite visual inspections and observations for construction quality control of OFCI and CFCI equipment and systems.

  • Confirm proper completion and retention of level 2 and level 3 testing documentation.

  • Assist in reviewing installed labeling, signage, and tagging.

  • Create project-specific QA/QC dashboards, equipment tracking matrices, and semi-annual QA/QC presentations.

  • Attend weekly project meetings, monthly global QA/QC meetings, MEP/OAC weekly meetings, and daily start-up and commissioning meetings.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in QA/QC programs for data centers or mission critical construction projects.

  • Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs.

  • Background in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.

  • Proven leadership of QA/QC and commissioning programs.

  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and vendors.

  • Experience with mission critical power and cooling infrastructure and application of that experience to data center challenges.


Preferred Skills:



  • Familiarity with client QC standards, ACC tracking tools, and commissioning levels 2 through 5.

  • Experience with MECP submittals and factory witness testing for OFCI and CFCI equipment.
