Job Description

About the Role
We are looking for experienced Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to work directly with enterprise customers and Google Cloud teams on designing, building, and deploying next-generation AI-powered customer experience solutions using Gemini Customer Experience (Gemini CX) and related Google Cloud technologies.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in conversational AI, agent architectures, enterprise integrations, and customer-facing solution delivery. This role requires working closely with enterprise stakeholders to translate business requirements into production-ready AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI-powered customer experience solutions using Gemini CX.
  • Build, configure, and deploy conversational agents, virtual assistants, and agentic workflows.
  • Develop integrations between Gemini CX and enterprise systems, applications, APIs, databases, and third-party platforms.
  • Design secure API architectures and integration patterns.
  • Build custom tooling, automation frameworks, orchestration workflows, and deployment accelerators.
  • Develop data pipelines, telemetry, monitoring, and observability capabilities for deployed solutions.
  • Work directly with customer engineering, product, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize solution performance in production environments.
  • Collaborate with Google Cloud and partner teams on solution architecture and delivery.
  • Support customer workshops, solution design sessions, proof-of-concepts, and production rollouts.
Required Technical Skills
Gemini CX / Conversational AI
Required (primary platform – hands-on experience is mandatory):
  • Gemini Customer Experience (Gemini CX) – including hands-on experience across:
  • Agent architectures
  • AI agent development
  • Agentic workflow orchestration
  • Generative AI applications
  • Multimodal AI solutions
 
Customer Engagement Technologies
Baseline / working knowledge of one or more (not required to be deep expertise):
  • Customer Engagement Suite (CES)
  • Contact Center AI (CCAI)
  • Dialogflow CX
  • Dialogflow ES
  • Agent Assist
  • CCAI Insights
 
Core Engineering Competencies
Strong experience in:
  • Agent building
  • Backend integrations
  • Secure API architecture
  • Data pipelines
  • Telemetry
  • Custom tooling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Participation in Google GECX Bootcamp.
  • Google Cloud certifications.
  • Certifications related to:
    • Gemini CX
    • Customer Engagement Suite (CES)
    • Contact Center AI (CCAI)
    • Google Cloud Architecture
    • Google Cloud Development
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a consulting or services environment.
  • Experience working in customer-facing technical roles.
Domain Experience (Preferred)
  • Telecommunications
  • Communications Service Providers (CSPs)
