Overview

\n
• We are seeking a hands-on Integration Lead to own the end-to-end integration design for an S/4HANA transformation from an existing SAP legacy landscape. This role is accountable for the target architecture of individual interfaces and for the technical guidance that keeps a distributed development team productive. This is a hands-on architecture role, not an advisory one the person is expected to build, debug, and demonstrate as readily as they design.

Responsibilities

Integration Architecture and Design

\n

\n
• Assess the impact of the S/4HANA move on every existing interface: changed endpoints, altered data structures and protocols, components that are deprecated, and interfaces that should be retired rather than migrated.
\n
• Choose the right pattern for each interface synchronous API call, asynchronous message, event, file transfer, or replication and record the reasoning, the alternatives considered, and the trade-off accepted.
\n

Delivery and Developer Support

\n

\n
• Break the interface inventory into prioritized waves grouped by business process, geography, and dependency, so each release carries the lowest practical risk to the business.
\n
• Ensure business and IT have the necessary components in place with internal and external parties to enable delivery of agreed integrations.
\n
• Work alongside developers on the difficult cases of complex mappings, scripting, multi-receiver routing, B2B and partner scenarios pairing on debugging rather than handing the problem back.

Governance and Communication

\n

\n
• Maintain the interface inventory and readiness tracker as the single source of truth for scope, status, risk, and dependency; escalate blockers as they appear rather than at the next checkpoint.
\n
• Keep current the technical designs, interface specifications, mapping documents, configuration records, test evidence, and operating procedures that outlive the project.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 8+ years designing and delivering enterprise integration; fluent in synchronous and asynchronous patterns, messaging and queuing, delivery guarantees, idempotency, compensation and error handling, API design and versioning, and event-driven architecture.
\n
• Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite: Cloud Integration, API Management, and Event Mesh.
\n
• PI/PO background covering ESR and integrated configuration design, message and XSLT mappings, and adapter configuration across SOAP, REST, IDoc, OData, JDBC, RFC, File, and SFTP, with Groovy scripting.
\n
• Working knowledge of S/4HANA integration: released OData and REST APIs, IDoc, BAPI and RFC, CDS views, business events, and the SAP Integration Suite.
