Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting (FI)

• Configure General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable in S/4HANA, aligned to the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL).
• Support period-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and Treasury reporting (GTAS, FACTS II, DATA Act).
• Map legacy chart of accounts and financial structures to the new system.

Bill to Collect (B2C)

• Design and configure the end-to-end B2C process: customer master data, billing, invoicing, receivables, cash application, dunning, and debt collection.
• Support reimbursable agreements and intragovernmental transactions (IPAC, buy/sell eliminations).
• Ensure B2C postings flow correctly to FM, FI, and CO, including funds control and revenue recognition.
• Resolve billing, receivables, and cash reconciliation issues in testing and hypercare.

Asset Accounting (AA)

• Configure asset classes, depreciation areas, and capitalization rules per SFFAS.
• Support acquisition, transfer, retirement, and construction in progress (AuC) settlement.
• Support integration with procurement and property/asset management systems, and reconciliation of subledger to GL.

Controlling (CO)

• Configure cost centers, internal orders, profit centers, and WBS elements.
• Support allocations, settlements, and management and cost reporting.

Funds Management (FM)

• Configure federal FM structures: funds, funds centers, commitment items, appropriations, and availability control.
• Support commitment, obligation, expenditure, and payment tracking across the full funds lifecycle.
• Support budget execution and apportionment processes.

Program Delivery

• Participate in discovery, requirements gathering, and fit-gap analysis.
• Produce functional specifications, configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
• Support data conversion and migration from the legacy system, including validation and reconciliation of balances.
• Support system integration, UAT, and operational testing with the independent test agent and government stakeholders.
• Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare, including parallel operations during phased Component transitions.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to Component finance staff.
• Support audit readiness, internal controls, and compliance (OMB A-123, FFMIA,  ICOFR requirements).
• Coordinate with ABAP, Basis, security, interface, and reporting teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience, including at least one full-lifecycle implementation.
• Configuration experience in FI, CO, FM (public sector), and Asset Accounting.
• Experience with B2C or equivalent billing and receivables processes.
• Working knowledge of federal financial management: USSGL, appropriations, funds control, and Treasury reporting.
• Experience on federal or public sector SAP projects.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with government stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Finance or Public Sector implementation experience.
• Prior Federal financial system modernization experience.
• Data migration experience from legacy federal financial systems.
• SAP certification in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or S/4HANA Finance.
• Familiarity with Fiori and embedded analytics.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery in a federal environment.
