Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidewire Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience to build, configure, and maintain core Guidewire PolicyCenter applications. In this role, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable Gosu code, PCF screen configurations, business rules, and integration handlers across enterprise P&C insurance platforms.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

  • Application Development & Configuration: Design and develop end-to-end Guidewire PolicyCenter components using Gosu, PCF layout rules, data models, enhancement classes, and product models.

  • Business Rules & Workflows: Configure complex underwriting rules, rating logic, validation rules, product extensions, and policy lifecycle workflows.

  • Integration Execution: Support the design and implementation of Guidewire integrations utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, and custom plugins to integrate PolicyCenter with external ecosystems.

  • Testing & Defect Remediation: Perform unit testing, automated test support, root-cause defect analysis, and bug resolution across SIT, UAT, and production releases.

  • Agile Delivery: Active participation in daily Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint estimations, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 6+ years of dedicated experience as a Guidewire Developer within P&C insurance environments.

  • Certification: Guidewire ACE Certification is strictly mandatory.

  • Guidewire Expertise: Strong proficiency in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and/or integration development.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Gosu, PCF design, BMIDE/Data Model extensions, business rules engine, and Guidewire Studio toolsets.

  • Software Engineering Best Practices: Experience with Git, Jenkins/CI-CD pipelines, Jira, JUnit/Gosu testing frameworks, and relational databases (SQL).

  • Location: Must be based in or open to working in Toronto (Preferred), Montreal, or Halifax.
