Job Description

Tecknuovo is a deliberately different digital consultancy, delivering secure, modern technology solutions while upskilling client teams to ensure zero long-term dependency.

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to supporting one of our public sector customers, focusing on modernising and optimising their data and reporting landscape. This role will provide architecture leadership across Azure data services, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and business-aligned outcomes.

You would bring strong expertise across Azure, data integration, and reporting technologies, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders to connect multiple platforms and resolve complex reporting challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead solution architecture across Azure data and analytics platforms.
  • Design and govern integrations between Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Databricks, Fabric, and wider Azure services.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and delivery teams.
  • Review and assure data platform and reporting solutions to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
  • Support the resolution of reporting and analytics challenges, particularly within Power BI environments.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Define and maintain architecture standards, best practices, and governance processes.
  • Support strategic roadmaps and technology decisions across the data and analytics estate.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with security, compliance, and operational requirements.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Strong experience in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, or Analytics Architecture roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure and associated data services.
  • Proven experience with Azure Data Factory and data integration architectures.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI, including reporting, performance optimisation, governance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure Databricks.
  • Ability to design and connect complex data ecosystems across multiple platforms and services.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data pipelines, and analytics best practices.
  • Hands-on technical background with the ability to engage credibly with engineering teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within complex enterprise environments.

Contract Details:

Location: Manchester (1 day per week onsite)

Contract Type: Contract

Rate: £600 per day (Inside IR35)

Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

Start Date: ASAP, until end of March (Initially)
