Rate: £450 - £550 p/d (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities
* Design of enterprise data architecture aligned to Data Mesh and Data Fabric patterns, defining domain oriented data products with clear ownership and contracts.
* Development and maintenance of Canonical Data Models (CDM) and domain-specific data models to ensure consistency and interoperability across the GCP platform.
* Definition and enforcement of architecture standards, principles and guidelines across the GCP platform and stakeholder organizations.
* Collaboration with data engineers and platform teams to ensure architecture patterns are implementable, scalable and aligned to GCP-native tooling.

Key Skills & Experience:
* Data Architecture
* GCP
* Knowledge of development and maintenance of Canonical Data Models (CDM) and domain-specific data models
* Knowledge of GenAI, LLM, Agentic AI
* Definition and governance of scientific ontologies and controlled vocabularies

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
* Design and implementation of data governance frameworks covering classification, data quality, lineage, retention and GxP/regulatory compliance.
