Job Description
We are looking for an experienced distribution oversight officer with a first successful experience with a Luxembourg-based asset manager or management company to join this team of two. This newly created role, reporting directly to the Head of Distribution Oversight, will offer the possibility to have a very large scope of responsibilities within the group.

Your Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the first line-of-defence framework, including oversight of the distribution network, oversight of the delegated Transfer Agent activities and management of inbound KYC requests.
- Perform risk-based initial and periodic due diligence on contractual counterparties, including distributors, intermediaries, platforms, brokers and other business partners, in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
- Perform or support the screening of counterparties and relevant related parties, document the outcome and escalate potential matches.
- Support the management of inbound KYC and due diligence requests received from external counterparties in relation to this asset manager's entities and investment funds and coordinate the collection of corporate and fund-related documentation from internal stakeholders.
- Support the Head of Distribution Oversight as a day-to-day point of contact for internal stakeholders, business partners and external counterparties on all first line-of-defence related matters.
- Support the drafting, review and implementation of departmental procedures, the preparation of reports for Senior Management and the AML Committee and assist with internal and external audits request related to AML/KYC.
- Support the agreement management process and contribute to continuous process and tool improvements.
Your Profile
The role requires practical knowledge of applicable AML/CTF requirements, knowledge of the Luxembourg asset management environment and, ideally, cross-border distribution.
It also requires sound judgement, strong communication and coordination skills, as it involves frequent interaction with internal stakeholders, business teams, and control functions as well as clients and external counterparties.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Law, Business Administration or another relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in AML/KYC with an asset manager, customer or counterparty due diligence, financial crime compliance or a related first-line control function within the Luxembourg financial sector.
- Experience in performing the onboarding and periodic due diligence of legal entities including financial institutions, distributors, service providers or other institutional counterparties.
- Experience in reviewing corporate AML/KYC documentation and carrying out or supporting their risk assessment and screening activities.
- Experience in handling institutional inbound KYC or due diligence requests would be desirable.
- A good understanding of the Luxembourg investment fund and asset management environment, including UCITS, alternative investment funds, management companies, transfer agents and distribution intermediaries.
- Working knowledge of CSSF Circular 18/698, CSSF Regulation 12-02 and relevant European AML/KYC/CTF requirements.
- Fluency in written and spoken English with a good working knowledge of French.
