Fire Alarm Service Tech

Location: Jacksonville, Florida (On-site)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician. This role involves programming, troubleshooting, and repairing critical life safety systems. The position requires working closely with the service team and clients to ensure systems are maintained efficiently. Attention to detail and effective communication skills are necessary for this key role on a growing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems, including conventional, addressable, voice, complex smoke control, and networked solutions.
  • Use a variety of troubleshooting tools to analyze systems and detect fault conditions.
  • Produce repair reports in accordance with NFPA for customer acceptance and billing information.
  • Program systems using laptop computers.
  • Ensure Fire Alarm circuit integrity.
  • Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
  • Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other technicians.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in fire alarm service and repair.
  • Experience with service, repair, and troubleshooting of fire alarms.
  • Knowledge of current fire alarm systems, including Siemens and Notifier technologies.
  • Ability to program and repair fire alarm systems using a laptop computer.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Fire Alarm circuit integrity and troubleshooting for circuit opens, shorts, and/or ground conditions.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72 code requirements and Article 760 of NFPA 70.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET certifications.
