SAP MDG Senior Developer – ABAP & Fiori

Role Summary
Senior SAP MDG Developer responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP Master Data Governance solutions across Material, and Business Partner domains. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, SAP MDG, Fiori/UI5, workflow, BRF+, APIs, and integration with SAP S/4HANA.

Primary skills  is SAP MDG technical with ABAP, Fiori and enhancement skills.

Key Technical Skills

• SAP MDG: Business Partner, Material; data models, governance processes, staging, activation
• ABAP: Advanced ABAP, OO ABAP, BAdIs, enhancements, user exits, function modules, debugging and performance optimization
• Fiori/UI5: Hands-on development of custom Fiori applications, extensions, controllers, views, OData services and annotations
• SAP Gateway/OData: Development and consumption of OData services for MDG/Fiori
• MDG Workflow: Rule-based workflow, change requests, agent determination and workflow troubleshooting
• BRF+: Business rules, derivations, validations, and workflow decision logic
• Integration: SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, CPI, APIs, SOAP/REST, IDoc and RFC
• MDG APIs: Standard MDG APIs, custom services and enhancement frameworks
• Data Quality: Validation, duplicate check, matching/merging, derivation and enrichment
• Debugging: End-to-end debugging across Fiori → OData → MDG → workflow → ABAP
• Transport & Deployment: CTS/ChaRM and SAP landscape management
• Database: HANA SQL/CDS views and performance optimization

Must-Have Experience

1. 7–10+ years SAP development experience
2. 4+ years hands-on SAP MDG development
3. Strong ABAP/OO ABAP development skills
4. Proven hands-on Fiori/UI5 application development
5. Strong OData/Gateway experience
6. Experience developing MDG workflow, BRF+, validations and derivations
7. Experience with S/4HANA Business Partner/Customer/Supplier
8. Ability to independently analyze requirements and produce technical designs
9. Strong debugging and troubleshooting capability
10. Experience working with functional teams and leading technical delivery

Ideal Candidate

The strongest profile would be someone who can independently handle:

Business requirement → MDG technical design → ABAP enhancement → BRF+/workflow → OData → Fiori/UI5 → integration → testing → production support

rather than someone who is primarily an MDG configuration consultant.
