- Telecommute Policy: First 30 days mandatory in-person. Later, up to 2 days/week telecommute allowed upon approval.
Position Summary
The Software Analyst will work under the guidance of the Testing Lead for the Continuing Medicaid Eligibility Modernization Program. Within the SDLC, the analyst will take an active role in the business and technical aspects of testing and validating designs/solutions to meet business needs. Responsibilities include creating test plans and test cases, identifying functional defects, performing regression testing, assisting with UAT, automating test scripts, and producing quality assurance documentation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Automating test script creation and execution.
- Creating test data sets.
- Writing and executing detailed test cases.
- Researching, resolving, and testing production and UAT defects.
- Participating in all SDLC phases, including Unit, Functional, Integration, User Acceptance (UAT), and Performance Testing.
- Reviewing requirement documents and performing solution exploration.
- Executing regression testing and supporting business stakeholders during UAT.
Mandatory Qualification
- 84+ Months of Experience: Expert knowledge as a Software Analyst, studying software application domains, preparing requirements and specification documents, and acting as a bridge between users and developers.
Requested Qualifications (Scored)
- Complex System Testing & Leadership (84+ Months): Experience on complex projects involving integrated systems, formal project governance, and multiple testing phases. Includes 2+ years in a leadership role as a Testing Analyst managing documentation, reviews, and stakeholder approvals.
- Enterprise Client-Focused QA (84+ Months): Experience managing testing across mission-critical, high-visibility, enterprise-level projects with significant public impact within matrix organizations.
- Test Planning & Automation (60+ Months): Hands-on experience developing test plans, test cases, tracking defects, and developing automated tests.
- Defect Tracking Tools (60+ Months): Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira-related plug-ins, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) / Quality Center.
- Automated Testing Tools (60+ Months): Experience configuring automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, or related automation suites.
- Domain Experience (36+ Months): Experience leading and managing functional test planning and execution within the Health and Human Services domain.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in Information Technology or a related field.
