Job Title: Business Analyst
Duration: 8+ Months
Location: Des Moines, IA (Onsite)
Interview: Web Cam or In Person
Responsibilities:
  • Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements.
  • Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, design documents, and process flows.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership.
  • Conduct business process analysis, process mapping, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze data, perform data mapping, and support data modeling activities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define business needs, evaluate solutions, and recommend improvements.
  • Support Agile teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and user acceptance activities.
  • Develop business cases, perform cost-benefit analysis, and assess risks and impacts.
  • Ensure requirements traceability throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Support project governance, reporting, and compliance with established methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for business processes and supporting technologies.

 Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting large, complex IT systems.
  • 8+ years of experience with requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation.
  • 8+ years of experience with SDLC methodologies and system development practices.
  • 8+ years of experience managing stakeholder expectations and priorities.
  • 8+ years of experience working within project governance structures.
  • 8+ years of experience using Microsoft development platforms and related technologies.
  • 6+ years of experience working in Agile environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with data mapping and data modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience using ALM tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, VSTS, Jira, or RTC.
  • 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server Management Studio or other relational databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with enterprise data management, data governance, and information architecture.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, application modernization, and integration initiatives.
  • Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis, risk analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Familiarity with data modeling standards and architecture analysis.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
  • Experience consulting with executive-level stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Previous experience working with government or public-sector organizations.
