- Work Setting: In-Office with Hybrid or Flexible Schedule Available Based on Program Requirements
- Salary Range: $145,000 - $170,000 plus comprehensive benefits package.
- Years of Industry Experience: 10 + years of relevant experience.
- Security Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Secret clearance required at start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance after starting.
About the Role. The Cyber Software Capability Lead and Principal Software Engineer provides technical leadership for the architecture, development, and evolution of G2 Ops' software capabilities supporting the AEGIS portfolio, including the SOFIA Cyber Analytics Platform, MONARCH, SMART, and related cybersecurity and digital engineering applications. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for defining software architecture, mentoring engineers, driving technical execution, and delivering innovative software capabilities that support Department of Defense customers. What You’ll Do
- Lead the technical architecture, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of software applications supporting the AEGIS portfolio.
- Provide technical leadership across front-end, back-end, API, database, analytics, cloud integration, and plugin development efforts.
- Develop software capabilities supporting cyber analytics, vulnerability assessment, reachability analysis, mission impact assessment, data visualization, digital engineering, and decision support.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures that integrate engineering, cybersecurity, and operational data.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, advanced analytics, cloud services, and modern software frameworks.
- Mentor software engineers through architecture reviews, code reviews, technical planning, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, systems engineers, cloud architects, and customer stakeholders to define technical solutions and implementation strategies.
- Support technical proposals, demonstrations, customer engagements, and internal research and development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including experience leading technical teams or serving as a software architect.
- Experience developing modern web-based software applications and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and secure software development.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources into scalable software solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with engineers and customers.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs is preferred.
- This is a full-time position supporting mission-focused customer environments.
