Job Description

Software Engineer | Cardiff By The Sea, CA, United States | Hybrid | $87,100.00 - $157,450.00 This employer is a globally recognized leader in defense and government technology research and development. The Role • Design, develop, and integrate hardware and software for advanced warfare technology systems. • Develop and maintain APIs in Python and MATLAB to control hardware test equipment. • Build graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for user-facing interaction with sophisticated products. • Create complex, highly integrated testing systems for RF signal processing applications. • Contribute to design and development within multi-disciplinary teams involving systems engineering, hardware, firmware, and signal processing experts. • Design and implement hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) tests and deployment frameworks. What You'll Need • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. • 4+ years of software development experience, with strong proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++. • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles. • Experience with hardware-software interaction and computer architecture. • Familiarity with hardware interfaces (e.g., PCIe, UART, Ethernet) and build tools (e.g., GCC, CMake). • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins). • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
