Job Description

An elite infrastructure role engineered for a senior technical professional seeking deep architectural ownership across complex multi-tenant environments, cloud nodes, and edge networking parameters.

Experience Tier 4-6+ Years Level 2/3 Support

Compliance Prerequisite Valid AU Driver's Licence

About Flux IT We are a premier, Perth-based managed IT and cybersecurity provider architecting robust technical infrastructure for expanding SMB and mid-market enterprise clients both nationally and globally. Because our client environments process complex transactional data spaces and strict up-time demands, we engineer system workflows that prioritize ironclad stability, fast mitigation loops, and high-fidelity operational response every single day.

The Blueprint This is not a static tech-refresh or repetitive call-logging role. As a Level 3 IT Support Engineer at Flux IT, you will operate as a core escalation authority, actively solving complex infrastructural emergencies, configuring edge network boundaries, and deploying enterprise-grade cloud parameters. If you look at chaotic, challenging infrastructure problems as an avenue to learn, scale your technical capabilities, and mentor an expanding team, you will thrive here. No two days across our network plane look the same.

Core Operational Responsibilities

SYS_SUPPORT

Advanced Escalation Management: Deliver comprehensive Tier-3 structural diagnostics for high-impact hardware, hypervisor, and software failures, ensuring resolution occurs cleanly within defined SLA limits.

NET_INFRA

Network & Edge Edge Hardening: Configure, manage, and continuously audit enterprise firewalls, core switches, routing lanes, and wireless nodes against industry cyber security best practices.

PROACTIVE_OP

Root Cause & Optimization: Execute granular root-cause audits on repeating anomalies, deploy long-term systematic fixes to prevent regression, and proactively minimize system outage vectors.

PROJECT_TEAM

Deployments & Mentorship: Architect and guide high-level infrastructure project delivery (tenant migrations, server refreshes) while actively mentoring junior technicians to foster a collaborative culture.

HARDCORE ENVIRONMENT STACK

Technical Capabilities Required
  • Hypervisors: Expert-level administration of Windows Server, VMware ESXi, and Hyper-V architectures.
  • Identity & Cloud: Advanced directory configuration across Microsoft 365 core, Exchange, Entra ID (Azure AD), Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Networking Core: Deep alignment with multi-vendor firewall policies, VLAN structures, routing optimization, and modern wireless perimeters.

PREFERRED ACCELERATORS

Advantageous Qualifications
  • Background: Direct operational background within an active MSP or multi-tenant corporate environment.
  • Certifications: Validated milestones including Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSE, ITIL, CompTIA A+, or advanced VMware validations.
  • Hardware Plane: Direct engagement with Dell bare-metal enterprise server architecture, high-capacity storage controllers, and advanced backup immutability arrays.
