Pega Lead Business Analyst - ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst (Pega) to support critical transformation initiatives within a large-scale UK public sector programme. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in backlog management, requirements analysis, customer journey mapping, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring high-quality requirements that drive successful and timely delivery.

Fully remote with occasional travel to UK sites.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams, helping establish clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead backlog grooming activities with Serco and Akkodis to confirm in-scope requirements for programme delivery milestones.

Conduct candidate and customer journey reviews, identifying cross-team process gaps and assigning ownership for resolution.

Define and implement story quality standards, acceptance criteria frameworks, and business analysis best practices across delivery squads.

Collaborate closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to ensure requirements alignment.

Support delivery planning by assessing scope feasibility and classifying items as achievable, at-risk, or non-deliverable against current delivery velocity.

Facilitate workshops with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups to drive consensus and decision-making.

Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years of Business Analysis experience in Agile environments.

9+ years of Pega Business Analysis experience.

Strong expertise in:

o Backlog Grooming & Scope Definition

o User Story Development & Acceptance Criteria

o Customer/Citizen Journey Mapping

o Requirements Traceability

o Agile/Scrum Delivery

o Multi-Supplier Stakeholder Management

Experience working on large-scale public sector transformation programmes.

Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.

Proven ability to drive requirements quality and delivery readiness across multiple teams.

Certifications

Pega Certified Business Architect (CBA)

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
