Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Job Type: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Java Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in Java development, application architecture, and enterprise software design. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performance applications using the latest Java technologies and frameworks. This role requires strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems. The Java Architect will work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and cloud platforms to deliver robust enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java 8/11/17/21 and J2EE technologies.
• Lead the design and architecture of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to define technical architecture and lead design discussions.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and team members on best practices in Java development and architecture.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver enterprise solutions.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and automated build and deployment processes.
• Ensure application security, performance tuning, scalability, resiliency, and high availability.
• Design and optimize databases using PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including database performance optimization.
• Utilize messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ for efficient data handling.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for cloud-native application development and deployment.

Requirements

<>Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Java development and application architecture.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17/21 and J2EE technologies.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Git.
• Strong understanding of application security, performance tuning, scalability, resiliency, and high availability.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of system design, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with other databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or other relational databases.
