Job Description

We are seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and data modeling and a proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable database solutions that support critical business applications across the SDLC.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.


• Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL routines using execution plans, indexing, and partitioning.


• Implement robust error handling, exception management, and logging frameworks.


• Support ETL logic, bulk processing, data transformations, and batch jobs.


• Collaborate with application, QA, and infrastructure teams through analysis, design, testing, and production support.


• Contribute to schema design, data modeling, and release deployments within CI/CD workflows.


• Automate jobs using Unix/Linux shell scripting and scheduling tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development with Oracle 11g/12c/19c.


• Expertise in stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and complex SQL.


• Performance tuning including execution plans, indexes, and partitions.


• Experience with bulk processing, ref cursors, collections, and batch processing.


• ETL logic, data transformation, and strong data integrity practices.


• Unix/Linux shell scripting and job scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control-M.


• Integration of PL/SQL with Java, .NET, or middleware applications.


• SDLC knowledge, version control (Git, Bitbucket, or SVN), and CI/CD pipelines.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in financial services, banking, or high-volume transactional systems.


• Familiarity with NoSQL or cloud databases such as AWS RDS, DynamoDB, or Azure SQL.


• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts including star schema and fact/dimension tables.


• Agile experience (Scrum or SAFe) and tools such as Jira, SQL Developer, Toad, or DataGrip.


• Experience with schema migrations, release deployments, and DevOps workflows.


• Ability to mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
