THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Lead Java Backend Developer to lead backend development initiatives and design scalable, high-performance applications. You will leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka to build robust backend solutions, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical applications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Lead backend development initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and implement multithreaded applications to support performance and scalability.
  • Design, optimize, and integrate SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure efficient data management.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and support cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical and performance issues and implement solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Follow Agile development practices and contribute to code quality, technical design, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU BRING

Must Haves

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and multithreading.
  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
  • Experience working with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and guide development teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud-native application development.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on enterprise-scale applications.
